This page explains the payment methods available when placing an order with Sew Devine through our website.

Payment options available to you will be shown at checkout before you place your order.

This Payment Methods page should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Delivery Information page and Returns & Cancellations page.

Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights.

1. Payment methods we accept

We use PayPal to securely process payments made through our website.

At checkout, customers may be able to pay using:

• PayPal;
• PayPal Pay Later or Pay in 3, where available and eligible;
• debit card or credit card payments processed through PayPal.

You do not always need a PayPal account to pay by card, depending on the options made available by PayPal at checkout.

The exact payment options available for your order will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.

2. PayPal payments

If you choose to pay using PayPal, your payment will be handled securely by PayPal.

Your use of PayPal is subject to PayPal’s own terms, conditions and privacy policy.

PayPal may process information such as your name, billing details, delivery details, email address, payment details, transaction details, payment status and fraud-prevention information.

3. PayPal Pay Later, Pay in 3 and card payments

PayPal may offer Pay Later, Pay in 3 or similar instalment payment options to eligible customers at checkout.

These options are provided by PayPal, not by Sew Devine.

If you choose to use PayPal Pay Later, Pay in 3 or a similar option, your agreement will be with PayPal and will be subject to PayPal’s own terms, eligibility checks, approval process and privacy policy.

Sew Devine does not decide whether PayPal approves or declines Pay Later, Pay in 3 or similar payment options.

Customers may also be able to pay by debit card or credit card through PayPal’s payment system. Card payments processed through PayPal are handled securely by PayPal and may be subject to PayPal’s own terms and checks.

If PayPal Pay Later, Pay in 3, card payment or similar options are not shown at checkout, they may not be available for your order.

4. When payment is taken

Payment is usually taken at the time you place your order.

Your order will not usually be dispatched, made available for collection, or processed further until payment has been received and cleared.

After placing your order, you may receive an order acknowledgement email. This confirms that we have received your order, but it does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

Your order is accepted when we confirm dispatch, confirm that your order is ready for collection, or otherwise confirm acceptance.

5. Payment security

We take payment security seriously. All online payments are processed securely by PayPal.

PayPal may use encryption, security checks and fraud-prevention tools to help protect payments and reduce unauthorised transactions.

You should also take care to protect your own PayPal account, card details, passwords, devices and payment information.

6. Failed, declined or incomplete payments

If your payment is declined, fails, is incomplete, or is not authorised, your order may not be processed.

If this happens, you may need to try again, use a different payment option, or contact PayPal, your card provider or your bank.

We are not responsible for delays caused by failed, declined or incomplete payments.

If you believe payment has been taken but you have not received an order confirmation, please contact us so we can check your order.

7. Pricing, VAT and currency

All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling.

Prices include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise.

Delivery charges, if applicable, will be shown on our website or at checkout before you complete your order.

If we discover an error in the price of a product after you place an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. We may offer you the option to continue with the order at the correct price or cancel the order and receive a full refund.

We are not obliged to supply a product at an incorrect price where the pricing error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised as a mistake.

8. Refunds

Where a refund is due, refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

If you paid through PayPal, PayPal Pay Later, Pay in 3, or by card through PayPal’s payment system, the refund will usually be processed back through PayPal.

Refund timings may depend on PayPal, your bank, card provider or payment method once we have processed the refund.

9. Fraud prevention and order checks

We may carry out reasonable checks to help prevent fraud, unauthorised payments or misuse of our website.

PayPal may also carry out its own fraud-prevention, security and eligibility checks.

We may refuse, cancel or delay an order where we suspect fraud, unauthorised activity, payment issues, incorrect details or misuse of our services.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will contact you where reasonably possible and refund any payment taken.

10. Other payment methods

We may add, remove or change payment methods from time to time.

The payment methods available for your order will be shown at checkout.
