This page explains how delivery works when you place an order with Sew Devine through our website.
We aim to process, pack and dispatch orders as quickly and carefully as possible. The delivery services, charges and estimated timescales available for your order will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
This Delivery Information page should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions , Payment Methods , Privacy Policy and Returns & Cancellations page.
Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights.
We currently deliver to UK addresses only, subject to postcode, product and courier availability.
Some delivery services may not be available to every postcode or area. Additional charges, restrictions or longer delivery times may apply to certain locations.
The delivery options available for your address will normally be shown at checkout. Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether we can deliver a particular product to your address.
For orders containing parts, accessories, haberdashery and other smaller items:
Eligibility for free delivery is normally based on the amount payable for qualifying goods after discounts or promotional codes have been applied and does not include delivery charges.
The exact delivery services and charges available for your order will be shown in your basket or at checkout before you place your order.
Royal Mail Tracked 48 is normally our standard delivery service for suitable smaller parcels, including many parts, accessories and haberdashery orders.
Once your parcel has been dispatched and accepted into the Royal Mail network, Royal Mail aims to deliver Tracked 48 parcels within two to three working days.
This is an estimated delivery service and delivery on a particular day is not guaranteed. Delivery aims may not apply to some postcodes, and delivery may take longer during busy periods or where Royal Mail experiences disruption.
Tracked 48 normally provides tracking through to the delivery point and a photograph when delivery is completed.
Where supported, Royal Mail may send delivery updates by email or text message using the contact details supplied with your order. Royal Mail may also offer options to change the delivery arrangements before delivery is attempted, including delivery to a safe place or preferred neighbour.
A signature is not automatically included with every Tracked 48 parcel. Where a signature service is required or selected, this will depend on the delivery option used for your order.
Please remember that Royal Mail’s delivery aim begins when Royal Mail receives the parcel. It does not include the time needed by Sew Devine to process, prepare and dispatch your order.
Royal Mail Tracked 24 may be offered as a paid delivery upgrade for eligible products and delivery addresses.
Once your parcel has been dispatched and accepted into the Royal Mail network, Royal Mail aims to deliver Tracked 24 parcels on the next working day.
Tracked 24 is not a guaranteed next-day delivery service. The service name does not guarantee that your parcel will arrive within 24 hours of placing your order.
Delivery aims may not apply to some postcodes, and delivery may take longer during busy periods or where Royal Mail experiences disruption.

A signature is not automatically included with every Tracked 24 parcel. Where a signature service is required or selected, this will depend on the delivery option used for your order.
Availability may depend on the product, parcel size and weight, delivery postcode, stock availability and the time your order is placed. Where available, the additional charge will be shown at checkout.
Royal Mail’s delivery aim begins when Royal Mail receives the parcel and does not include Sew Devine’s order-processing and dispatch time. Orders placed on a Sunday or Monday will not be processed until Tuesday. Orders placed outside our processing hours or on a bank holiday will be processed on the next available order-processing day.
DPD next-working-day delivery may be available for eligible products and addresses where this option is shown at checkout.
For an eligible in-stock order to be processed for DPD next-working-day delivery, the order must normally be placed and successfully paid for before 12 noon on a day when Sew Devine is open and a suitable DPD collection is available.
Sew Devine is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Any orders placed on either of these days will not be processed until Tuesday.
Orders placed after 12 noon, on a bank holiday, or on a day when a suitable courier collection is unavailable will be processed on the next available order-processing and dispatch day.
The 12 noon cut-off does not automatically apply to special-order products, products awaiting stock, orders requiring additional checks or preparation, or products being dispatched directly by a manufacturer or supplier.
DPD next-working-day delivery is subject to stock, postcode and courier availability. A delivery date is not guaranteed unless we expressly confirm that it is guaranteed.
Saturday delivery may be available as a paid option for eligible products and delivery addresses.
Availability will depend on when the order is placed, whether the goods are in stock, the parcel’s size and weight, the delivery postcode and the courier service available.
Where Saturday delivery is available, the charge will be shown at checkout before you place your order.
Saturday delivery may not be available for machines or other products being dispatched directly by a manufacturer or supplier unless this has been specifically arranged and confirmed.
Sewing machines, overlockers, coverstitch machines, embroidery machines and cutting machines normally include free standard delivery, regardless of the machine’s selling price.
Machine orders are normally delivered by DPD or another suitable courier. The service used may depend on the product, stock location and delivery address.
Some larger or heavier products, including sewing cabinets or bulky accessories, may have separate delivery arrangements or charges. These will be shown on the product page or at checkout where applicable.
Many machine orders are passed to the relevant manufacturer or supplier, who dispatches the machine directly to the customer on our behalf, usually using DPD.
Where a product is being dispatched directly, the manufacturer or courier may contact you using the delivery details supplied with your order.
Direct-dispatch timescales may depend on the manufacturer’s stock availability, order-processing times and courier collection arrangements.
Your contract remains with Sew Devine. Please contact us if you have any questions or problems concerning a product dispatched directly by a manufacturer or supplier.
Where an order contains a machine together with accessories, parts, haberdashery or other products, the order may be divided into separate parcels.
For example, the machine may be dispatched directly by the manufacturer using DPD, while accessories are dispatched separately by Sew Devine using Royal Mail or another suitable service.
The parcels may be dispatched and delivered on different days. Receiving one part of your order does not necessarily mean that another parcel is missing.
Where an order includes a machine that qualifies for free delivery, the order will normally receive free standard delivery even where the goods are sent in separate parcels.
Delivery upgrades, Saturday delivery and Click & Collect will only be displayed or offered where they can genuinely be provided for the goods in the order.
Where Click & Collect is available for your order, it will be shown as an option at checkout.
There is no delivery charge for Click & Collect.
Please do not travel to collect your order until we have contacted you and confirmed that it is ready for collection.
You may be asked to provide your order confirmation and proof of identity when collecting your order.
If another person is collecting on your behalf, we may ask you to confirm this with us in advance.
Click & Collect may not be available for products held by or dispatched directly from a manufacturer or supplier unless we have specifically agreed alternative arrangements.
For further information, please see our Click & Collect page.
We will make reasonable efforts to process and dispatch orders as quickly as possible.
Delivery times shown on our website, at checkout or in order communications are estimates unless we expressly agree or confirm a guaranteed delivery date.
If no separate delivery period has been agreed, goods will normally be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is made.
Please contact us before ordering if you require an item by a particular date. We will explain what may be possible, but a date will not be guaranteed unless we expressly agree that it is guaranteed.
Sew Devine is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Any orders placed on either of these days will not be processed until Tuesday.
Orders are processed from Tuesday to Saturday during our usual order-processing hours.
Dispatch on Saturdays may depend on the collection services available from Royal Mail, DPD or another delivery provider.
Orders placed after an advertised delivery cut-off time may not be processed until the next available order-processing and dispatch day.
Courier working days and delivery aims are determined by the relevant delivery provider and may include days when Sew Devine is closed.
References on this page to Royal Mail or DPD working days relate to the delivery provider’s service and do not mean that Sew Devine processes or dispatches orders on every one of those days.
Additional preparation or checks may be required for higher-value goods, special-order items, sewing machines, overlockers, embroidery machines, cutting machines, cabinets or products supplied directly by a manufacturer.
Dispatch may also be delayed where payment requires additional verification or where delivery details are incomplete or need to be confirmed.
If an item is unavailable or there is a significant supply delay, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Please make sure that your delivery address and contact details are complete and correct before placing your order.
Your delivery information should include:
If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered processing or has been passed to a courier, manufacturer or supplier.
Where delivery fails because the address supplied was incorrect or incomplete, you may be responsible for reasonable additional delivery or redelivery costs.
Where tracking is available, tracking details may be sent by Sew Devine, Royal Mail, DPD, a manufacturer, a supplier or another delivery partner.
Please check that the email address and telephone number supplied with your order are correct so that delivery notifications can reach you.
Tracking information is provided as a guide and may not always update immediately.
If nobody is available to receive a parcel, the courier may attempt redelivery, leave delivery instructions, send a notification, deliver to an authorised collection point or return the parcel to the sender.
Please follow the courier’s instructions and arrange redelivery or collection promptly where required.
If an order is returned because delivery could not be completed, we will contact you to discuss redelivery or cancellation.
Reasonable additional delivery charges may apply where redelivery is required because the delivery address was incorrect or incomplete, or because a parcel was not collected after the courier made it available for collection. This will not apply where the delivery failure was caused by Sew Devine or the delivery provider.
Goods remain our responsibility until they come into the physical possession of you or a person you have nominated to receive them.
If you independently arrange for a carrier that was not offered by us to collect the goods, responsibility may pass to you when the goods are handed to that carrier.
Once the goods have been delivered to you, collected by you, or received by a person you nominated, they become your responsibility.
All goods are packed carefully before dispatch.
If a parcel or product arrives damaged, please contact Sew Devine as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, please provide photographs of:
Please keep the original packaging while we investigate, as it may be needed for a courier claim, inspection or return.
You do not need to pursue the courier directly for a product damaged before delivery. Please contact Sew Devine and we will deal with the matter.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
If your order arrives with an item missing, an incorrect item or something appears incomplete, please check any dispatch emails or tracking information first, as your order may have been divided into separate parcels.
If the item is not being delivered separately, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide:
Where the issue is due to our error, we will put it right in accordance with your legal rights.
Some products may need to be ordered specially from a manufacturer, supplier or distributor.
Special-order and direct-dispatch delivery times are estimates and may depend on supplier stock, availability and processing times.
If we become aware of a significant delay, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and explain the options available.
Please contact us before ordering if you need an item by a particular date.
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
These may include courier or supplier disruption, severe weather, strikes, transport disruption, accidents, power failures, internet or communications failures, cyber incidents, pandemics, fire, flood, government action, changes in law or other events beyond our reasonable control.
If a substantial delay affects your order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to explain the situation and the options available to you.
If you are a consumer buying online, by phone or by mail order, you usually have the right to cancel your order without giving a reason.
You can normally cancel from the time you place your order until 14 days after the day you receive the goods.
If your order has already been dispatched or delivered, you must return the goods in accordance with our Returns & Cancellations page and Terms & Conditions .
If you have any questions about delivery, tracking or an order you are waiting for, please contact us:
